Welcome to our news and information page. Here you will find our newsletter for each week.

St. Denis School News       January 25, 2012
Dinner Auction - Plans are well under way for our dinner auction. We are still in need of a 3rd grade parent to co chair the bar committee so that you will have an idea of what to do on that committee next year. We also need of a person or two to help Lenny and Jane Burford with the booklet, this will be their last year to do the booklet so we really need someone to help with this and learn the process. We also need several more people to sign up for the cleanup committee. If you would be interested in helping in any of these areas, please contact the office.
* Donation forms and ad forms need to be turned into the office by February 10 so that we can begin work on the booklet.
*Want a great way to recognize an upcoming event or remember someone special? The dinner auction booklet is a wonderful way to express congratulations. With First Communion and 8th grade graduation coming up quickly, you could buy a special ad for your child to remember the event. Send along a picture of your child or children and they can be added to your ad. Ads can also be a place for memorials. Follow the ad slips for pricing and sizing.
Classroom Projects - For the dinner auction each year, the classes or classrooms come up with an idea for an oral auction item, if you have any ideas for your child's class/classroom please let the office know so we can pass the word.
Rummage Sale - Our school rummage sale has been set for April 28. As you clean out closets or come across items that you no longer need, set them aside and start saving them for this fund raiser. More details will follow as we get closer.
Planning Ahead – Sunday, January 29th is the beginning of Catholic Schools Week. We will need all students to help out in some way at the 10:00 Mass. Please wear royal blue dress code shirt and dress code pants. Please mark your calendars for that Sunday so that we have everyone present to help make it a beautiful celebration to kick off Catholic Schools Week
Catholic Schools Week – I am sending home our Catholic Schools Week plans. Please keep them so that you will know what is going on for Catholic Schools Week. Fill out and return your Trivia Night form, if you are interested in joining us. If you do not have enough for a full team just put your family member’s names on the page and we will put families together to create teams.

Book Fair – The book fair has arrived and will be open on Sunday, January 29th as well as on the following Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday mornings. The students will have an opportunity to visit the book fair on Friday to get a preview. They will get to make a wish list of books they would like. This is a great opportunity to purchase books that your children will enjoy. Reading is such an important part of each child’s education.
Help Needed - We are still in need of at least 2 people to help watch students on Wednesday, February 1 from 8:45-10:15 while the teachers have breakfast, we could use at least 2 more people to help fix the teacher breakfast on Wednesday, February 1
Girls' Basketball - The girls will play here on Friday, January 27 starting at 6:00. The JV will play Charleston and the Varsity will play Kelso 7.
Notre Dame Placement Test - The placement test at Notre Dame for the 8th grade will be Saturday, January 28 at 8:00.
St. Denis Jackets - You will find an order form in your folder for St. Denis hoodies, jackets, and coats. We have samples in the office if you are interested in seeing the type of jackets and how the sizes run. The orders need to be turned into the office by Thursday, February 2.
T-shirt order form - You will find an order form for Fabulous Fiesta t-shirts. This is the theme for our dinner auction this year. The t-shirts will be great to wear the night of the auction, the children will be offered a dress down day if they have their Fabulous Fiesta shirt;
